John A. Josko, ASA, CSA is the founder and president of Industrial Asset Appraisals & Consulting, Inc.
He has performed appraisals, auctions and privately negotiated sales, audits, inspections and managed the process for over thirty five years on a global basis.
Being born into the auction and appraisal industry, he learned at an early age, that knowing value and how to remarket an asset were extremely important. He has a global network and broad industry experience in performing appraisals, and remarketing of assets (specifically in manufacturing equipment, machine tools, plastic and process equipment).
Mr. Josko was co-designer of the technology tool “Asset Appraiser from GE”, which provided a standardized process for electronic appraisal reporting to the appraisal industry.
While at GE, John oversaw on a global basis development of:
- loan origination values
- exit strategies and auctions
- privately negotiated sales of off lease, repossessed and disputed collateral, including testimony in litigation
He has co-authored and taught courses, webinars, and written the exams for the appraisal industry. This includes the National Auctioneers Association, the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers, and the Equipment Appraisers Association of North America.

In his spare time, John and his wife Patty are avid sailor’s and John has obtain his Captains License, 100 Ton Masters Rating – Near Coastal from the United States Coast Guard.
